Position/ Job/ Summary:
Managing the credit and collecting processes of new and existing accounts, ensuring timely payments and minimizing financial risk by evaluating customer creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and implementing collection strategies. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of lending procedures, excellent problem-solving skills, and a professional attitude towards managing credit issues.
Hours:
8:00 am to 5:00 pm – Monday through Friday
Hybrid in office schedule
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers through detailed financial analysis to determine risk levels.
- Oversee the status of existing credit accounts and manage customer credit files.
- Analyze delinquent accounts and initiate collection actions.
- Assist with accounts receivable cleanup efforts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work with other departments such as sales and accounting to resolve credit issues.
- Releasing orders and meeting daily deadlines.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to identify and resolve unapplied payments and payment discrepancies.
- Manage customer refund requests for overpayments and validate cash receipt eligibility for refunds.
- Generate and process monthly account statements.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws related to credit operations, including commercial job documentation requirements and resale/tax certificates.
