What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition General Worker -Substitute position at ADM Community School District?
Under immediate supervision, assists with the preparation and serving of meals; performs general duties related to food preparation, serving and cleaning. May run the register and/or computer point of sale meal services system.

- Serves food at appropriate times.
- May serve as cashier and/or point of sale system attendant.
- Cleans and washes cafeteria equipment, dishes, pans, tables and carts.
- Maintains food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Assists in taking inventories and record keeping.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:
Knowledge of:
- Following recipes that can include weighing and measuring of ingredients
- Safe practices of lifting and moving materials.
- Basic kitchen equipment and supplies
- The importance of practicing safe food handling, established rules pertaining to personal hygiene and dress code.
- Portion control and basic units of measure.
- Basic computer software systems
- Follow oral and written directions.
- Safely operate food service equipment.
- Push, carry, and lift large boxes, bags of food and food carts.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
