The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Professional Development.
Primary Purpose:
Provide vision, direction, and leadership for the district’s curriculum, instructional practices, and professional development programs, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification: Arkansas Administrator Certification
- Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Expertise in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
- Strong background in professional development planning and implementation
- Knowledge of state and federal accountability systems
- Experience in managing federal programs and grant funding
- Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years in instructional leadership, curriculum, or professional development roles
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and manage the district’s curriculum and instruction department.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate instructional programs to improve student achievement.
- Oversee all professional development initiatives for teachers and administrators.
- Manage district-wide accountability and assessment programs.
- Supervise federal programs, ensuring compliance and effective resource allocation.
- Provide leadership for the district’s gifted and talented programs.
- Support schools in implementing research-based instructional strategies.
- Analyze student performance data to inform curriculum decisions.
- Collaborate with school leadership to ensure instructional alignment and support.
- Develop and monitor budgets for curriculum and professional development programs.

Salary : $101,000
