The law clerk will provide critical legal support to Justice Christine Donohue of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, assisting in the efficient review and resolution of cases before the Court. Primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive legal research and preparing internal memoranda regarding the disposition of petitions for allowance of appeal. The clerk may also assist in drafting judicial opinions and perform additional legal tasks as needed.
This position is ideally suited for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with one to three years of legal experience. Candidates must possess exceptional research and writing abilities, strong analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Judicial Clerk 1 - Supreme Court of Pennsylvania
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on a broad range of civil, criminal, and constitutional issues.
- Draft bench memoranda, opinions, and other legal documents under the supervision of the Justice.
- Review petitions for allowance of appeal and assist in preparing recommendations.
- Analyze case records and legal briefs to identify relevant facts and legal arguments.
- Participate in discussions with the Justice regarding case disposition.
- Provide support on administrative and procedural matters as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school (or anticipated graduation prior to start date).
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong academic record.
- Demonstrated interest in appellate law and judicial decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (preferred but not required at the time of hire).
Additional Requirements:
- Satisfactory criminal background check required.
