The Collections Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s collection efforts, working closely with clients and internal teams to resolve outstanding balances while maintaining positive client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor client accounts to identify overdue payments.
- Contact clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on outstanding balances.
- Negotiate and establish payment arrangements while maintaining professional relationships.
- Investigate and resolve disputes related to billing and payments.
- Collaborate with attorneys and the business office to address client concerns.
- Prepare and maintain aging reports, collection reports, and account reconciliations.
- Implement and refine collection strategies to improve cash flow.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and provide reports on collections performance.
- Maintain detailed records of all collection activities and communications.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of collection techniques and legal billing practices.
- Experience with legal billing software (e.g., Centerbase) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and tactfully with clients.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with attorneys and legal teams is a plus.

The position also offers 5% commission on collections . Once the candidates collect $300k they can earn 5% of commission thereafter.
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
