What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Care Case Aide position at Adoption Option Inc?
The Foster Care Case Aide assists the Foster Care Case Managers in meeting the needs of their individual clients and assists the Case Managers in fulfilling policies and procedures as required by the Department of Human Resources and individual counties/courts. This position is responsible for assisting with parenting time visitation, sibling visits, providing transportation as needed, contacting service providers to obtain needed documentation for the individual case files, and assist in completing quarterly reports. This position will implement strategies to alleviate barriers to ensure compliance in meeting Licensing Rules/Regulations, DHHS policies and procedures, Contract Compliance, and ISEP (Implementation Sustainability Exit Plan).
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports directly to the Foster Care Supervisor and is under the general supervision of the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing and participating in case planning to address family needs.
- Making appropriate referrals for relevant services.
- Assist in completing reports and quarterly assessment of overall family functioning.
- Create and maintain individual case files and perform regular audits to ensure compliance for annual DCWL audit.
- Supervising parenting time/visits and sibling visits.
- Attend court hearings, DHHS meetings, and case relevant meetings as needed.
- Assist the Case Managers to ensure compliance with DHHS policies, DCWL rules and Contract Compliance.
Requirements:
Education: Have or be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of human service.
Experience: Prior experience working in a child welfare agency is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
Excellent assessment skills.
Prior experience with Microsoft Office or other processing applications/programs.
Satisfactory verification of criminal/abuse checks.
Satisfactory verification of sex offender registry check.
Valid unrestricted driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Reliable transportation.
