Experience
A minimum of 4 years of work experience in data modeling, data analysis, relational DBMS design and support, and relevant computing environments.
Primary Job Duties
Analyze, develop, and document complex logical database designs, logical data models, and relational data definitions in support of the Department and PALM systems requirements.
Understand the methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions / operations.
Responsible for the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues, and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models, for both as-is structure and proposed structure.
Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy and trends in data uses and single sources of data.
Combine business and technical data to assist with the creation of documentation.
Work with Business Analysts, Developers, and Application Architects to support agency processes and remediation for the PALM Transition Project.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, chart of accounts, and financial transactions.
Experience with complex queries involving multiple data sources.
Experience with reading, creating, and updating data structures.
Experience with multiple include statements.
Experience with Visio or other process mapping applications. Knowledge of the SCRUM Framework.
Knowledge of financial systems such as an ERP.
Experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams.
Experience with documenting and communicating technical requirements.
Experience in coordinating with Business Analysts to capture business requirements.
