The Software domain refers to the area withinInformation Technology that focuses on the development, deployment, management,and maintenance of software applications that support business processes anduser needs. This includes development, application lifecycle management,requirement analysis, QA, security & compliance, and maintaining theapplications and infrastructure.

WHATYOULL DO

Writes, tests, and documents technical workproducts (e.g., code, scripts, processes) according to organizational standardsand practices

Solves technical problems and buildscomponents/libraries with far-ranging impact

Delivers high quality work and coaches morejunior engineers on technical craftsmanship

Conducts root cause analysis to identify systemicproblems and defines and leads execution of action items to address

Designs thoughtfully integrated systems thatmodel organizational best practices, allowing disparate teams across productdomains to deliver value with speed, scale, and reliability

Oversees the management of technical debt inexisting systems and drives opportunities to eliminate within ongoingimplementations

Consistently anticipates scaling, latency, anddurability challenges and guides teams in implementation of mitigatingstrategies

Partners with the security organization toincorporate security conscious practices early in the lifecycle of new systems

Thoughtfully evaluates technical risks and guidestoward practical prevention strategies

Consistently reflects on squad delivery practicesthroughout their span of of influence, recommends improvements to leadershipand drives their implementation

Maintains a focus on removing the duplication ofeffort across teams and proactively identifies opportunities for reuse withintheir span of influenceThoughtfully measures and assesses team and identifiesareas of development for individuals

Explores emerging technologies, leads developmentof prototypes with little or no guidance and incorporates into architecturalsolutions where appropriate

Minimum Qualifications Education & Prior JobExperience:

Bachelors degree in computer science, ComputerEngineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or relatedtechnical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

7 years of experience designing, developing, andimplementing large-scale solutions in production environments

RequiredSkills & Experience:

7-9 PowerBuilder experience

PowerBuilder Framework Components

Support PowerBuilder legacy code

PreferredQualifications Education & Prior Job Experience:

Master's degree in Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or relatedtechnical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

Airline Industry experience
