Job Summary:
Organizes and handles a variety of logistics issues and duties that involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, material handling, import-export licensing, and shipment of products. Evaluates customer support and field services commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. Assists in developing logistics plans and procedures.
Detailed Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process shipments using the ERP system.
- Process shipments through the local and global Export systems.
- Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with customs regulations for international shipments.
- Arrange, schedule, book, and coordinate logistics activities, including quoting/negotiating rates with carriers to meet delivery deadlines.
- Monitor the status of shipments throughout the delivery process and providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings, coordinating with relevant parties like freight forwarders and customs to comply with all necessary export documentation and regulations.
- May assist in generating reports on key logistics metrics like delivery times, inventory levels, and shipping cost.
- Additional duties may include:
- Receipt of inventory from/into stocking locations by following prescribed processes and handling procedures. May include material identification, counting, transporting, and packaging for end user or storage.
- Pull/pick inventory to fulfill demand requirements.
- Track and verify accuracy of inventory, counts and location, by physically counting and identifying inventory withing specific locations

Education and/or Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics role involving shipping/export experience. Experience in trade compliance preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of database software, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Excel, and Word applications.
