Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and other database objects.
• Ensure database availability, performance, security, and backup/recovery procedures.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and resource utilization.
• Plan and execute the migration of Oracle Database 12c to 19c in the cloud environment.
• Implement best practices for database performance tuning and optimization in the cloud.
• Manage database users, roles, permissions, and access controls in the cloud environment.
• Manage and configure Oracle database parameters, storage, and memory settings for optimal performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Oracle database issues, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Manage and optimize Oracle database storage solutions, including ASM, file systems, and storage area networks (SANs).
• Implement and manage Oracle database security features, such as Oracle Advanced Security, Oracle Database Vault, and Oracle Audit Vault.

• Lead and manage the migration of on-premises Oracle databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Provision and configure virtual machines, networking, and storage resources on OCI.
• Implement security measures, access controls, and monitoring for the cloud environment.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage costs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize cloud resources for database workloads.
• Implement high availability solutions for critical databases in OCI.

• Set up and maintain databases or data stores for storing and exchanging data.
• Design and implement data transformation, mapping, and orchestration processes using integration platforms.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security during data exchange processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define database requirements and implement solutions in OCI.

• Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying potential bottlenecks or issues.
• Implement performance tuning techniques, such as indexing, query optimization, and database configuration adjustments.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to optimize application-database interactions.
• Conduct regular health checks and performance monitoring of cloud databases.
• Develop and implement Oracle database capacity planning and scalability strategies to accommodate business growth and changing requirements.
• Collaborate with application teams to optimize database performance for Oracle Applications running on OCI.

• Implement and maintain data security measures, such as encryption, access controls, and auditing.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards in the cloud environment.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
• Conducting regular security audits and implementing security patches in OCI databases.
• Implement data encryption and masking techniques to secure sensitive information in the cloud environment.
• Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and cost optimization strategies in OCI.

• Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies for databases and application data.
• Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery documentation.
• Monitor and manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies in the cloud.
• Implement and manage Oracle database high availability solutions, such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Data Guard.
• Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for cloud databases.

• Work closely with application developers, architects, and other IT teams for seamless integration and interoperability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for database-related issues.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge-sharing, and training efforts related to database administration and integration processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in change management processes for database deployments in the cloud.
• Engage with Oracle Support Services for issue resolution and product updates in OCI.
• Evaluate new features and technologies in Oracle Cloud services for potential implementation.
• Evaluate and improve cloud database architecture based on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Manage and support Oracle Applications and upgrades in the cloud environment.

Minimum Education:

A Master’s degree in computer science and data science, reflecting a strong academic foundation.
