ADTRAV is seeking a Director, Marketing to be responsible for the execution of marketing activities across the company, including the development of strategic plans for brand management, communication, sales and department support, and digital strategy and execution. This position facilitates and executes the company’s strategy through building alignment and developing the capabilities of direct and indirect reports.
NOTE : This position is required to be in Birmingham, AL or within one-hour of our Birmingham, AL office. The Director, Marketing must be able to come into our office as needed for meetings / events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Work collaboratively with the CCO to develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to drive engagement and sales.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, including coaching and training, to the Marketing team.
- Set goals and objectives for the team and provide guidance on how to achieve to ensure they know what is expected in their position and in the company.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, product, and other teams to align marketing goals and develop growth plans.
- Develop branding strategies to enhance the company's image. Ensure all marketing materials align with corporate identity and brand guidelines.
- Oversee the development of marketing materials, marketing campaigns, and communication / public relations.
- Optimize digital marketing strategies including SEO, social media, and email campaigns.
- Understand key performance metrics and tracking tools for market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends, and translate results into actionable insights and approaches for the Marketing team.
- Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Identify ways to improve and streamline processes to drive results faster, more efficiently, and with greater impact.
- Share knowledge across departments and promote continuous process improvement. Develop, report and act upon identified improvement opportunities throughout the organization’s marketing activities.
- Plan and manage marketing events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
- Plan and track complex marketing campaign launches that include coordination of internal and external resources. Develop milestones and schedules for projects, ensuring alignment; manage to, and deliver on, agreed-upon deadlines.
- Become the organization’s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders, vendors, partners and potential clients and build strategic partnerships.
- Review work of direct reports and key decisions to ensure company objectives and timelines are achieved as well as the execution of programs are accomplished.
- Track KPIs to measure the impact of marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Develop, mentor, and lead employees to foster an environment of teamwork and accountability.
- Provide constructive feedback and identify areas of improvement for team and work to develop objectives to meet these needs.
- Conduct weekly individual and team meetings.
- Conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary documentation on team, in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
- Participate in the recruiting process by interviewing and selecting new employees.
- Be knowledgeable and trained in direct reports duties and be able to perform the job functions as needed.
- Travel to industry tradeshows, meetings and events as needed.
- Create and update departmental policies.
- Utilize various internal and external applications.
- Develop in-depth expertise with all ADTRAV products and services.
- Become knowledgeable in ADTRAV's industry and customer base and maintain vast knowledge of ADTRAV’s competition.
- Represent ADTRAV by embracing the company values and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
