Assistant Director – Adult Day Program
Job Summary:
Join our growing adult day care center as the Assistant Director, where you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing staff, volunteers, and program operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all staff, students, and volunteers. Address performance issues, including terminations, as necessary.
- Program Oversight: Plan, develop, and implement all activities and services to meet the needs of participants and comply with licensing regulations.
- Marketing & Outreach: Lead efforts to increase program census through marketing, outreach, and community engagement initiatives.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines and fiscal requirements. Prepare monthly reports summarizing census data and daily operations.
- Administrative Coordination: Develop and maintain administrative plans, policies, and procedures. Coordinate admission processes with nursing and social work staff to evaluate participant eligibility.
- Advocacy & Education: Represent the program through information sessions, outreach events, and education initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, social work, business, or education).
- Proven leadership experience in a management role, preferably in an adult day care, healthcare, or similar care-based environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively under pressure.
- Familiarity with licensing regulations and compliance requirements (experience with Missouri Department of Mental Health preferred).
- Proficiency in using technology for reporting, scheduling, and communication.
