Title: Adult & Community Education Program Director
Position Summary: The Director of Adult & Community Education oversees the management of the program including, but not limited to, development, administration and delivery of courses, operational and financial planning.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
*Manages all aspects of the program’s efforts to meet its mission
*Manages and supervises all activities associated with the program
*Hires program staff and instructors
*Prepares the program's budget (self-funded)
*Represents the program in local promotional events
*Seeks effective and successful partnerships with local and regional businesses and nonprofits
*Plans all aspects of course programming
*****Research and stay abreast of trends and market demand for relevant programming areas
*****Analyze enrollment data and customer feedback for renewal decisions on courses and course development, marketing, budget, etc
*****Expand program offerings and revenue, particularly in support of mission
*****Recruit, evaluate, and hire vendors and instructors with an eye towards diversity of offerings
*****Create budgets for courses, including instructor/vendor compensation and expenses that support self-sustaining revenue generation
*****Negotiate instructor/vendor compensation
*****Set pricing for each course in accordance with budget
*****Produce two semesters of programming (fall/winter and spring)
*****Execute all tasks relating to creating the course catalog
***********Write enticing and informative course descriptions
***********Create online course listings (Eleyo)
***********Create print brochure course listings, front cover, and back cover (Google Docs, InDesign)
*****Manage instructor/vendor relationship and assist with resolution of customer issues
*****Review course feedback with instructors and recommend improvements
*****Observe classes in action as able
*Develop and prepare all communications and brochures
*Perform marketing and communication for all courses, including Facebook posts
*Perform related work as needed
*Manage all program responsibilities and facility responsibilities during program hours
*Send Buildings and Grounds report of door unlock schedule every Monday
*Supervises Program Assistant Director and course instructors
*Work with the Assistant Director on all functions of the program: planning and producing classes, recruiting new instructors, designing and producing marketing brochure twice yearly in print and loading into the online registration system

Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree

*Strong oral and written communications skills
Experience:
*Development and Management of public school Adult Education programs
*Eleyo package software experience
Work Schedule:
*School-year position with occasional summer tasks
*Flexible, days and evenings
*Varied hours, averaging 15-18 hrs/week spanning approximately 40 weeks throughout the year
Compensation:
*Compensation stipend is paid from the end of August through the end of June and is dependent on program fund balance amounts with an estimated range of $15,000 - $18,000 depending on experience level
