Job Summary
This LPN role is responsible for providing professional nursing assessments and care to patients at Adult Pediatric Urology & Urogynecology clinics. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collects and communicates patient data to physicians and documents all conversations and changes in patient conditions in the electronic medical record.
- Provides verbal and written education to patients regarding their condition and documents teaching in the patient's medical chart.
- Takes hospital consults and physician-to-physician calls, and acts as a liaison between providers and patients to relay results and recommendations.
- Performs medication prior authorizations, refill requests, and review of imaging, labs, and pathology reports.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records, including documentation of patient interactions and clinical decisions.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a medical office setting (preferred)
- BLS Certification (required)
- LPN License (required)
