JOB DESCRIPTION
- Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (RN, LVN, CNA, CMA, etc.)
- Guide staffing procedures
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards
- Provide direction to all nursing staff members to assure compliance with all State and Federal laws
- Prepares for, and manages the State and Federal survey process with the intent to increase the 5 Star level.
- Control budgets and monitor expenditures
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
- Manage record-keeping procedures
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- Report to upper administrator
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director of Nursing Services is required
- Experience with Management of Surgery Centers, Emergency Room or any urgent cares
- Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting
- Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
- Working knowledge of all State and Federal compliance standards including the implementation of Phase II Survey compliance.
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Must have a current and active RN license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
