Principal Purpose of Job:
The Seasonal Administrative Assistant performs routine secretarial and administrative assistance duties and enrolls and processes registrations and Recreation Pass applications. This position requires someone who works cooperatively and effectively with the public and other employees in a very busy and sometimes stressful office environment. This position will serve as the assistant to the District Recreation Manager and Assistant District Recreation Manager.
Essential Duties:
- Greet visitors at the Metro District Office in a prompt, warm, and service-oriented manner.
- Provide routine information and/or triage as needed.
- Process registrations and Recreation Pass applications.
- Provide direct assistance to the District Recreation Manager and Assistant District Recreation Manager.
- Share any complaints or concerns with managers.
- Provide general front desk assistance and telephone call coverage.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent education – Required.
- High standard of customer service.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities efficiently and accurately.
- Strong initiative.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with diverse internal and external contacts.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional demeanor.
- Computer skills are a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
