NJ Advance Media is looking for a High School Sports Video Producter to join the most prominent High School Sports staff in the country. The candidate will report to the High School Sports Director and will work closely with other managers in the department.
This role requires someone knowledgeable and passionate about New Jersey High School Sports and understands the value of NJ.com’s expansive scholastic coverage. We’re looking for someone who has experience with live broadcasting and understands what it takes to live stream sports events, from start to finish.
The candidate should be comfortable in a fast moving environment, with exceptional organizational and communication skills, as they’ll frequently be expected to interact outside the company.
This position is in the High School Sports department, a part of the NJ.com newsroom. The role will require flexible scheduling during the school year, with potential night and/or weekend hours. This job requires reliable transportation to meet with sources and go on-location for occasional events around the state. You'll also be required to work out of our Woodbridge, NJ office when necessary.
The base salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $65,000 annually.

- At least 4 years of experience with video production and live broadcasting, and an understanding of the needs of a streaming crew
- Ability to coordinate all aspects of live streaming events
- Knowledge of N.J. high school sports to aid in identifying potential events and opportunities
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with managers, reporters and business partners
- A keen ability to stay organized and track progress on spreadsheets
- Ability to effectively promote events using available resources, including company social media accounts
- An ability to independently troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise
- A deadline-oriented mindset
