Apex Staff Global is currently hiring a Lead Estimator in the San Antonio, TX area! Qualified candidates should have 10 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry. The role involves planning, coordinating, and managing the process of creating estimates for projects. The expected start date is ASAP.
Responsibilities :
Generate estimates for sales, pre-construction, and bidding (conceptual estimates, full guarantee maximum price estimates, and lump sum bids).
Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and schedulers. Identify project risks and potential impacts.
Work with the Estimate Sponsor to present estimates to executive leadership. Lead estimate teams and ensure they are performing well.
Manage the bid solicitation process, including scheduling pre-bid requirements and coordinating bond requirements.
Review specifications, drawings, and amendments to determine the scope of work.
Skills :
-10 years of experience in project management, estimating, and construction processes.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
-Ability to train and develop junior estimators.
-Patience to develop the estimating program.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong understanding of construction documentation and project risk assessment.
