Advance Products & Systems, LLC, a global leader in design and manufacturing of innovative cathodic protection, corrosion prevention and safety products has an available position for a Product Quality Specialist.
The candidate will be responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with customer specifications. Will be required to adhere to the company’s quality assurance policies and identifying defects and product errors. The candidate will work in conjunction with all departments to assure the manufacturing of quality products.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Investigate Customer Complaints and Nonconformances and advise management team on findings; record statistics regarding performance.
Act as liaison with customer and assume responsibility for ensuring product quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Process/Inspect customer returns / credits and facilitate corrective action plans.
Ensure quality records are organized, functional, and traceable within the ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
Responsible for inspecting all product returns.
Verify company compliance and adherence to current product specifications.
Inspect raw material and finished goods as assigned for defects.
Trains personnel on specific job tasks to achieve efficient standards of operations according to the organization approved quality standards.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Able to review and maintain metrics and quality objectives
Strong problem identification and resolution skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
Ability to lift/push/pull at least 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work overtime as required
Willingness to wear personal protective equipment: safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes
Desired Characteristics
3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
3 years Quality Assurance experience preferred
Experience with measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments
