Position Summary
The East Coast Regional Director of Operations will oversee the operational performance and strategic growth of janitorial services for key locations across the East Coast. This role involves managing both self-performed and subcontracted operations while ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong client relationships, and seamless coordination with unionized and non-unionized labor teams. The position requires frequent travel and a proactive approach to expanding the companys footprint in the region.
Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:
- Oversee janitorial services in Chicago, NYC, Washington DC, Virginia, and Miami, ensuring efficient self-performed and subcontracted operations.
- Ensure compliance with service standards and client requirements
- Manage union labor relationships, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and effective resolution of labor-related issues.

Leadership and Team Development:
- Hire, train, and mentor area managers, supervisors, and frontline staff to promote high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety among the team.

Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all clients, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and building strong partnerships.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure client satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.

Financial Management:
- Develop and manage regional budgets, including labor costs, subcontractor expenses, and revenue targets.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

Strategic Planning and Growth:
- Collaborate with leadership to onboard additional East Coast sites and scale operations efficiently.
- Lead the transition of new contracts to ensure a seamless start and alignment with company standards.

Travel and Site Visits:
- Regular travel to NYC, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago, and Virginia with frequency dependent on proximity to the primary base.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of operations management experience, preferably in the janitorial or facilities services industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing union labor and subcontractors.

- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients, employees, and leadership.
- Analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and operational metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with operational management software is a plus.
