What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waste Profiler I position at Advanced Chemical Transport LLC?
Essential Functions
- Understand Federal/State EPA requirements for hazardous waste management.
- Understand DOT requirements for packaging and transporting hazardous materials.
- Understand and manage chemicals based on physical and chemical properties for proper profile classification.
- Prepare all necessary paperwork to submit and obtain approval of waste profiles.
- Utilize profile management software to manage waste profile requests efficiently and accurately.
- Complete all waste profile requests in allotted timeframe.
- Work with Materials Management to profile into key strategic facilities.
- Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
- Assign proper product codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
- Maintain and manage waste profile data.
- Complete accurate data entry of waste profile information.
- Perform other assignments as assigned by management.
Experience and Background
- 1-5 years prior experience in the hazardous materials/waste industry
- Familiarity with EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- PC skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screen
- Attention to detail

Education
- A.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science Preferred
Training Requirements
40 Hr OSHA training
- ACT Chemist Training Course
- DOT Training
- 8 Hour OSHA Refresher Annually
