Responsibilities
The Front Desk Assistant is a role that supports both the dentist and the team in delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to state regulations.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Greet and check out patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Verify dental insurance coverage and benefits
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
- Accurately enter patient payments and maintain financial records
- Input and update insurance information in Dentrix practice management software
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Other administrative tasks as delegated
Qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Experience with Dentrix, managing dental office finances, and multitasking effectively
