Qualified candidates with great customer service to join our team as Surgery Scheduling Coordinator. This environment is a fast paced medical office for a well-known dermatology company. Duties to include:
Review weekly provider schedules to maximize utilization of provider availability
Monitor Biopsy log for accuracy, timely receipt of results, treatment of positive lesions within 4-6 weeks of confirmed diagnosis
Initiate skin cancer tracking tool; phone contact with patient; letters in a timely manner
Obtain precertification and prior authorizations in a timely manner
Scheduling all MOHS, cancer treatment surgeries
Maintain OSHA Compliance
Perform patient call backs on same day of call
Assist physician/mid-level providers with patient care
Document in medical record as appropriate
Contact patients via phone/mail to confirm upcoming surgeries. ALL patient paperwork MUST be filled out PRIOR to the patient's surgery
Develop good working relationships with Location Manager and Regional Supervisor
Requirements include:
At least one year of Dermatology experience required
MA certificate of completion/diploma from medical vocational program
RN, LPN degree or diploma current active license or certification
Current CPR certification
Knowledge of vital signs is required
Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique
Knowledge of medical terminology
