JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Food Service Director to oversee the Food & Nutrition Services Team at Advanced Dallas Hospital and Clinics. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of patient services and manage dining operations. The incumbent will be a polished and articulate manager who is well versed in all facets of food service management including strong food and cooking knowledge, regulatory compliance, food quality standards, training, and employee development.
This role requires a blend of managerial expertise, culinary knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining budgetary constraints.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, engage and develop team to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance.
- Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how to execute
- Reward and recognize employees
- Lead and manage the food service team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients while meeting dietary needs and preferences.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control to minimize waste and ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
- Manage resources to ensure quality and cost control within budgetary guidelines
- Establish and maintain systems and procedures for the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving of food related products, as well as menu planning and development
- Manage the front of the house of the dining operation (Hospital Dining Facility)
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations
REQUIREMENTS
- Requires a minimum of four years of food service leadership experience
- Requires at least one to two years of experience in a healthcare management role
- Requires previous 2yrs experience in food service hospital environment
- Food Safety Manager Certification
- Certified Dietary Manager preferred
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

- Food Safety Manager Certification
