We are looking for an experienced Director of Outpatient services for our 116-bed behavioral health hospital in Desoto, Texas. The Director of Outpatient Services will be responsible for the leadership and growth of our PHP and IOP programs. The Director of Outpatient Services will be responsible for coordinating all patient services and retaining quality personnel through hiring, training, and constant evaluation of programming. The activities listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the types of activities normally performed and overseen by this position :
- Creates, directs, and implements the policies and procedures for the outpatient services function. Ensures a high level of quality care and services for patients by coordinating and communicating operational procedures to staff and various programs under outpatient.
- Monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards.
- Develops and implements training to ensure that all employees receive adequate direction on preferred clinical practices, approaches, and current system trends. Seeks out additional internal and external training resources when necessary. Ensures that regulatory and organizational training requirements are satisfied.
- Ensures that both internal and external incident reporting requirements are met for all crises and unusual incidents.
- Partners with internal and external partners on programs.
- Attends all external and internal meetings and training sessions as required.
- Services as the department fiscal manager.
- Carries out personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management, and employee relations functions Performs related duties as requested.

- Requirements
- Education : Advanced degree in behavioral science or mental-health related field required.
- Experience : Clinical, supervisory and administrative experience in an outpatient mental health setting preferred. General knowledge of areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment required.
- 1-3 years in a field relevant to the therapy specialty area required. Healthcare and inpatient psychiatric hospital or outpatient experience preferred.
- Licenses : Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as a LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC. Preferred : Licensed as a Supervisor with current board approval to supervise associates and interns.
- Additional Requirements : Must obtain and maintain approved CPR certification and Management of Aggressive Behavior training including restraint and seclusion policies.
