Job Summary:
The Support Coordination Supervisor & Quality Assurance Specialist is a dual role responsible for supervising a team of Support Coordinators while ensuring compliance with New Jersey’s Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) guidelines. This position combines leadership and oversight with quality assurance responsibilities to promote excellence in service delivery and adherence to all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor Support Coordinators to ensure high-quality, person-centered services.
- Review and approve Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for compliance, accuracy, and alignment with individuals’ goals and needs.
- Provide guidance on complex cases, supporting coordinators in problem-solving and service navigation.
- Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, provide training, and address challenges.
- Onboard, train, and support new Support Coordinators, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge.
- Maintain ongoing communication with individuals, families, guardians, and service providers to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine audits of ISPs, case notes, and other documentation to ensure compliance with DDD guidelines.
- Monitor service delivery quality and provide feedback to staff for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to standardize practices and improve outcomes.
- Identify gaps in service delivery and collaborate with staff to address and resolve issues.
- Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports for agency leadership to track progress and highlight areas for improvement.
- Stay current with DDD policies and Medicaid updates, ensuring agency compliance and relaying changes to staff.
- Train staff on documentation standards, person-centered planning, and best practices for compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Support Coordination or related field, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of DDD rules, Medicaid services, and person-centered planning in New Jersey.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance, or performance monitoring preferred.
- Proficiency in documentation systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
