Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney

Our client s New York NY office is seeking an Insurance Coverage & Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of coverage experience .

This role involves drafting coverage opinions reviewing and analyzing claim documents assessing policy language litigating declaratory judgment and bad faith actions in New York and other jurisdictions and providing clients with a wide range of insurance coverage services including updating policy language. The position offers flexibility to work remotely or in the office.

Duties / Requirements :

• JD degree with excellent academic credentials.
• Minimum of four years of solid experience handling coverage matters and litigating declaratory judgment actions.
• Experience providing coverage assessments to clients including expertise with private equity fiduciary errors and omissions D&O and other professional liability policies as well as commercial general liability and property policies.
• Ability to manage declaratory judgment and bad faith litigation from inception to trial including preparation of pleadings and briefs managing discovery and depositions and conducting legal research analysis and writing.
• Experience with both state and federal court proceedings.
• Current NY Bar admission in good standing is required.
