The Endodontic Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting doctors in all aspects of endodontic care. Responsibilities include patient care, preparation of treatment rooms and instruments, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient check-in and discharge process.
Essential Responsibilities
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
- Prepare and organize endodontic instruments, clean and stock rooms before and after procedures.
- Seat patients, answer questions, and prepare them for treatment.
- Participate in chairside dental assisting with our endodontists.
- Take necessary x-rays or CT scans.
- Assist the doctor during procedures, anticipating needs and documenting as required.
- Assess patient readiness for discharge and assist with post-procedure instructions.
- Sterilize instruments and dispose of waste according to regulations.
- Perform routine cleaning of operatories and sterilization areas.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions; assist in training new employees when needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. and bending at the waist.

The following qualifications are a plus:
- Proficient in chairside assisting and dental terminology
- Knowledgeable in dental and endodontics
- Experience with 3D scanners and aseptic techniques
- Quick to learn new technology and software systems.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation .
Compensation will be based on skills & experience!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
