We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Office Clerical Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day administrative functions of our practice.
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Clerical Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth office operations by performing various administrative and clerical duties. This individual will assist with patient scheduling, records management, and communication tasks to support the efficient functioning of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist with managing patient files, updating electronic health records, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and confirm patient appointments, manage cancellations, and maintain an organized schedule for the practice.
- Front Desk Support: Greet patients, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Insurance Assistance: Collect and verify insurance information
- Correspondence: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, and faxes. Communicate with patients, referring offices, and vendors as necessary.
- Transcription: Review and proof transcription of patient appointments and send correspondence referring offices.
- General Office Tasks: Maintain office supplies, organize files, and support other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in office administration or healthcare preferred.
- Previous experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with dental or medical software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, WinOMS or similar).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Hours and Compensation:
- Prefer full time hours, but part time options available!
- Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00 PM
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
