What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometry Receptionist position at Advanced Eye Care Center?
We are an independent optometry practice located in Northwest Phoenix. Our practice has been established for over 35 years and have a wonderful long-term patient base. We are currently seeking a full-time front desk receptionist. We are currently open Monday-Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm , giving you a long 3 day weekend while still working 40 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients as soon as they arrive at the office
- Scheduling appointments
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Skills
- 1 or more years experience in an Optometric/Medical practice
- Familiar with vision/medical insurances
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
