Duties
- Schedule surgical procedures in accordance with physician availability and patient needs.
- Conduct thorough documentation review to ensure all necessary information is collected prior to scheduling.
- Assist in medical billing processes related to surgical services as needed.
- Coordinate with billing the patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for surgeries.
- Utilize medical scheduling systems for efficient appointment management.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to surgery scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient files and records, ensuring compliance with medical office standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to confirm surgical details and prepare for upcoming procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a surgery scheduling role. (or medical procedures)
- Familiarity with medical billing practices and insurance verification processes.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and file management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet goals and deliverables.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
