What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Office Digital Dental Lab Technician position at Advanced Implants & Periodontics?

As we continue to add more quality team members, and the most advanced dental technology, while always providing the most comfortable & caring treatment for every patient, we have continued to see exponential growth in the practice, which has allowed each of our team members to find substantial career growth throughout their time with us as well. As we continue to grow this incredible team, we have recently opened an innovative In-Office Digital Dental Lab Technician position for a dynamic, motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable individual. This is a full-time or part-time position depending on availability.
Essential Duties:
· Oversee the laboratory
· Inventory management and supply ordering (dental implants and parts, laboratory supplies, and other dental supplies)
· Ensure proper maintenance of clinical and lab equipment and instruments
· Sterilization of instruments
· Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and facilitate repairs
· Case management as it relates to due dates and organization
· Case planning with doctor
· Smile designing chairside with doctor
· Send and receive digital files utilized for printing
· Scan using the Prime intraoral scanner
· Utilize Einstein 3D Printer to print and fabricate surgical guides, occlusal guards, and prostheses
· Utilize Roland Mill to mill (stain and glaze) zirconia prostheses
· Assist doctor with immediate loading of full arch cases under the direction of the doctor
· Keep informed of advancements in the field of dental laboratory technologies and techniques
· Keeps office, lab area, or other spaces utilized neat and orderly
This role offers the proper candidate the chance to be involved in the patient’s transformation from start to finish by providing a key role in supporting the advanced digital technologies utilized in the practice daily. While we would prefer a candidate with strong dental software/computer skills, we would consider a lesser experienced candidate who is motivated to learn these technologies to grow their career as our practice continues to grow.
Qualifications for this role include (preferred):
· Relevant experience in the dental profession
· Certification (CDT) or the completion of an accredited dental laboratory program
· Digital design experience
