Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate medical records efficiently. The Medical Biller will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our practice while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience:
Familiarity with all aspects of billing and especially account receivables and
coordination with medical biller and our billing service.
Experience with medical collections and understanding of accounts receivable
management
Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and conducting
medical collections as necessary.
Duties:
Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients.
Experience as a Front office manager as well as office administrator
Review and verify patient information, including insurance coverage and eligibility.
Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 for accurate claim submissions
Maintain organized medical records and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding practices, and insurance policies.
Managing the insurance contracts on yearly basis and price negotiations with health insurance companies, office vendors, service providers.
Knowledge and experience with a variety of medical office software (email tools, spreadsheets and database) and proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
Trouble shoot routine day to day IT issues
