Job Description: The Licensed Therapist at Advanced Mental Health of Washington is part of a team that works to provide high quality mental health services to our clients. This role involves provision of direct client services, developing and implementing treatment protocols, and ensuring documentation is in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Primary responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial intake assessments across all life domains and including social determinants of health;
- Provide initial treatment planning inclusive of relevant diagnoses and based on unique client needs;
- Provide direct clinical services, including skills-based brief therapy services, and family therapy as indicated, through course of treatment;
- Maintain documentation in compliance with organizational, contractual, and best practice requirements;
- Fosters a healing, honest, and hopeful environment of care for clients and fellow employees;
- Demonstrates a commitment to cultural competence
- Promotes a safe, calm environment in alignment with trauma-informed treatment practices;
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Possess the knowledge, values, attitude and skills to create a trauma-informed, safe, trusting healing environment that respects the perspectives and experiences of the individuals, families, staff and communities we serve with safety and healing. Must be able to provide ongoing coordination of clinical services, service planning, resource identification and development, and advocacy as appropriate to assigned caseload. Must be able to provide such services with respect, tact, and sensitivity. Must be able to manage documentation requirements as set by agency and contracts.
Qualifications:-
- A Master's degree from an accredited university in mental health counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or other related field.
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) required, or ability to achieve independent licensure within the first 90 days of employment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical mental health therapist role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and relevant software.
