Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring FAE/Field Support Manager to Lead customer relationship management and selling of technical products and solutions. Provide on-site or on-demand problem-solving support for customer engineering to facilitate partnering advising on block diagram, and alerts to overlooked AMD/Xilinx product features or functions. Work on design analysis and optimization, leveraging understanding of known challenges to advise customer designers on the optimum use of AMD IP, tools and devices. Assess how customers are using AMD embedded technology and provide feedback for consideration by marketing or product development. Provide regular updates to customer system engineer, key logic designer, and management of product line on AMD’s silicon, software, and IP. Understand the customer needs and concerns on technical side. Create design block diagram and reviewing with the sales. Evaluate the different silicon solutions from technical perspective. Work with sales manager to provide the silicon solution and related strength and weakness analysis to defining the win strategy. Provide the customer facing project proposal and the project engagement plan to be used internally for must win project. Provide the detail proposal to factory for IP and silicon customization to meet customer special requirement if needed. Prepare the background information, understand the expectation from customer, write the presentation to show factory the whole perspective of the request. Arrange technical meeting and provide the meeting minutes including the action list. Provide the feedback to the factory. Remain current on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Materials Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Materials Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

With either combination of education or experience, position requires five (5) years of experience with the following technologies:

• Hardware Description Language (VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog);
• Software and hardware verification;
• FPGA IP (one of Ethernet, PCIe, or DDR);
• Design using FPGA-based high-speed serial transceivers, and FPGA verification;
• High performance external memory interface controllers and protocols;
• SOC Architecture, CPU Architecture, or GPU Architecture;
• Back-End (physical design) and Front-End EDA tools; and
• Unix or Linux environments.
