This position is responsible for promoting and selling a company's wound care products and solutions to healthcare professionals and institutions, primarily within a defined territory. The goal is to achieve sales targets, build strong customer relationships, and establish the company as a leader in the wound care market. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Territory Management:
- Meet and exceed sales quotas within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute sales plans, identify target accounts, and manage the sales pipeline.
- Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare providers and decision-makers.
- Analyze territory performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Manage customer accounts and maintain updated records.
- Product Promotion & Education:
- Present and demonstrate wound care products and solutions to healthcare professionals.
- Educate customers about product features, benefits, clinical evidence, and proper usage.
- Provide product training and support to customers.
- Market Awareness & Collaboration:
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive products, and new clinical developments.
- Attend industry events and conferences.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, clinical) to support sales efforts.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and submit sales reports and other administrative documentation.
- Manage expenses within the company's policy.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Home Health relationships a plus
- Proven sales experience, ideally in medical sales or the healthcare industry, is often required.
- Prior wound care experience is a plus.
- Education:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not always mandatory, especially if sufficient sales experience exists.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex clinical information.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and organized.
- Proficiency in CRM and other sales tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory.
Preferred (but not always required):
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
- Wound care certification.
