We are seeking highly motivated candidates to become part of our team as our resident Accounts Receivable Specialist. The ideal teammate will be accountable, highly detailed-oriented, autonomous, and an advocate for our patients’ needs and rights.
This position identifies, researches, and resolves medical claim disputes with respect to neurodiagnostic service. Advanced Monitoring Services offers a hands-on training program in this position to pair with the candidate’s qualities of accountability, accuracy, and determination.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Collect unpaid claims and clear up discrepancies.
· Investigate and appeal claims that were denied or Low Paid.
· Complete data entry to update spreadsheets and reports.
· Work with patients to set up payment plans.
· Prepare and submit medical records to insurance companies upon request.
· Effectively communicate and document payment denials in the practice management system and appropriate billing representative promptly.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Proficiency with computers and medical billing software.
· Knowledge of unfair debt collection practices and insurance guidelines.
· Understanding of primary code classifications: ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.
· Communication skills with patients and healthcare companies.
Education/Experience
· High School Diploma or General Equivalency
· Previous A/R experience in a healthcare setting
