Advanced Navigation and Positioning Corporation (ANPC) is an exciting, small company in the beautify Columbia River Gorge. We are looking to fill a Configuration Management Analyst position. This is an onsite position in Hood River. ANPC offers a full benefits package, including 4 weeks of paid time off and 11 paid holidays (part of which is a the week between Christmas and New Years). Position Summary
The Configuration Management (CM) Analyst will contribute to the established CM process and help refine processes as needed. A CM Analyst will enter data, review data, report on data and transfer data. If you are interested in learning and like a challenge, enjoy puzzles and thrive in the minutiae that is CM; this job could be a good fit for you. We will train the right candidate and prefer some experience with Configuration Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Review change objects in the Configuration Management System
- Create parts and change objects as needed
- Transfer final product information into the Manufacturing Resource Planning database
- Utilize databases and other tools to report quantities, lifecycle states, and other change object metrics
- Assists with gathering data to support configuration management plans and processes
- Assigns identifiers to products and recognizes discrepancies related to product identification
- Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures
- Assist in the use of configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items
- Conduct basic analysis on a part: where used, other items in change with product, part of an ongoing project or next higher assembly
- Create and maintain agenda and minutes as required
Education & Experience Requirements
- Experience with Product Database Management tool (PDM). We use PDXpert.
- 1 year Configuration Management experience
- Configuration Management training
- Ability to look at mechanical, electrical, system drawings
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write and interpret technical documents such as training manuals and corporate documents. Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers and employees in a positive manner.
- Computer Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software.
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
- diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Attention to detail essential.
