POSITION SUMMARY: The Configuration Management Architect is responsible for oversight of the planning and development of an enterprise-wide configuration management framework that ensures NuScale products meet applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. This position will support the company by providing strategic direction and leadership to a cross-functional team of stakeholders, ensuring that processes and tools are developed and sufficiently scalable to support delivery of NuScale SMR’s to the global market.

The target base salary range for this position is $150,537 - $181,682 annually.The full base salary range is $134,964 - $211,098.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the development of a framework and infrastructure for NuScale’s enterprise configuration management and lifecycle program, with specific decision-making authority to ensure adherence to best practices for complex highly-regulated products.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of both the near-term and long-term configuration management road map that allows NuScale to deliver variants of our products across multiple projects.
- Manages enterprise level CM/CLM process interdependencies, including process handoffs and cross-cutting issues, while balancing individual department needs against corporate objectives that support module fabrication and delivery.
- Develops specific policies, work practices, processes, systems, and procedures as needed to enable configuration management and data management success.
- Ensures the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of configuration data across all platforms, working with relevant stakeholders as necessary, through the product lifecycle from conception to retirement.
- Coordinates diverse internal stakeholders to help set direction and communicate priorities.
- Conducts regular assessments of configuration management processes and tools to ensure effectiveness
- Ensures that configuration management practices allow for end-to-end decision traceability
- Reports periodically to senior leadership on strategic process initiatives, including challenges and status of milestones.

- Education/Certification: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university is required. An advanced degree is preferred. Specialization or coursework in Industrial or Systems Engineering is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of full-time, relevant experience leading, defining, planning, and/or implementing configuration management for highly-regulated products, with at least 10 of those years working primarily in a configuration management role is required. At least 5 years’ experience with product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning systems is required. Experience with Product Configuration Management implementation in Aras Innovator is preferred. CM2/Pro or /Expert certification from IpX or an equivalent framework is strongly preferred.
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
- Ability to understand and communicate clearly using a phone, personal interaction, and computers.
- Ability to learn new job functions and comprehend and understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in a rapidly evolving environment.
- The employee frequently is required; to sit and stand; walk; bend, use hands to operate office equipment; and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to travel nationally and locally using common forms of transportation.
