At Advanced Oral Surgery & Periodontics, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interviews: Conduct thorough interviews with patients to obtain accurate health histories.
- Maintaining Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and prepare oral reports as needed.
- Contribution to Unit Goals: Contribute to the attainment of unit goals by utilizing contacts with individuals and community relationships to enhance understanding of health services.
- Medication Administration: Prepare, administer, and record medications as prescribed by medical staff.
- Vital Sign Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to medical staff.
- Clinical Session Preparation: Assemble necessary materials and equipment for clinical sessions and maintain adequate supplies.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain clinical equipment and dispose of used supplies correctly.
- Recovery and Discharge: Assist in the recovery and discharge of patients.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education and Certification: Registered nurse with current state license required; BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Experience: At least two years of experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to observe physical condition of patients to detect signs of abnormalities; ability to record operations completely, accurately, legibly, and concisely; ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone; ability to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgment; ability to multitask and prioritize work; experience with intravenous medications.
