Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our orthopaedic team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in both administrative and clinical tasks within a fast-paced medical environment. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling medical billing and coding.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals to enhance patient experience.
- On the job training for splinting, bracing and dressing changes when required.
- Willingness to provide support in our Waldorf office one day a week.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Experience in hospital settings, particularly with outpatient services or urgent care facilities.
- Knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing and insurance claims processing.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
