Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CPC Certified Professional Coder who is also proficient in managing accounts receivables (AR). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical coding standards, insurance claims processes and revenue cycle management. Experience in pain management is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
Review and process claims to ensure compliance with payer guidelines.
Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, including insurance and patient balances.
Resolve claim denials and rejections in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to address coding discrepancies and improve documentation practices.
Stay updated on coding and billing regulations, including changes specific to insurance payers.
Qualifications:
Current CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification from AAPC or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
Familiarity with pain management coding (preferred, but not required).
Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, providers, and payers.
