Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Administrattive Assistant to join our healthcare team as Indepeden contractor
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Patient Scheduling and Management:
- Scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
- Managing appointment books and utilizing scheduling software.
- Communicating effectively with patients to ensure timely and accurate scheduling.
- Retrieving and updating patient medical histories.
- Front Desk Operations:
- Answering phones and greeting patients.
- Checking patients in and out.
- Gathering patient information and updating medical records.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Processing medical insurance payments and handling billing inquiries.
- Completing insurance forms and coding information.
- Ordering office supplies.
- Managing patient records and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Other Duties:
- May assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as preparing reports or filing documents.
- May be involved in basic accounting tasks, such as expense reporting and invoicing.
- May assist with coordinating team meetings and events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
- Proficiency in computer software, including medical billing and scheduling programs .
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures .
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion .
- High school diploma or equivalent .
- Experience in a medical office setting is a plus .
