Impact of the Role
The Health Technology Market Analyst will join ARMI's HealthTech Hub team, which works to assist health technology startups with commercialization of their innovations in the U.S. market. The Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining a 'landscape' view of national and international health technology innovation. In addition, the Analyst will assist with due diligence and market research for HealthTech Hub companies.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in any of the following (multiple preferred):
- Market research or consulting related to healthcare or technology
- Working within an accelerator, venture capital firm, or innovation hub
- Product management, strategy, or business development in health tech
- Research analyst or market intelligence positions, particularly in healthcare-related industries
- Conducting due diligence for startups, identifying potential market fits, or evaluating product-market alignment in the healthcare space.
- Familiarity with innovation ecosystems or working with multiple stakeholders (e.g., startups, research institutions, investors)
- Strong analytical and research abilities (comfortable collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from various sources)
- Familiarity with health technology trends, digital health, or medical innovation.
- Experience in report writing and presenting complex findings to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of target market analysis and competitive landscapes.
- Ability to assess startup potential through qualitative and quantitative due diligence (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to engage with startups and network effectively.
- Proficiency with data tools and report generation and dashboard tools
Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data on national and international health technology innovation (e.g., innovations from research universities, hospitals, and startups). Identify trends and emerging technologies within the space.
- Database Management: Develop, maintain, and continuously update a database of health technology companies and innovations, ensuring that the database supports detailed, customized searches and provides insights into companies' market positions, publications, patents, etc.
- Information Accessibility: Apply tools to mine and visualize data, making it accessible and actionable for various stakeholders.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Perform market and competitive analyses for companies, providing insights on market opportunities, potential challenges, and strategic positioning.
- Reporting and Insights: Create regular reports and presentations summarizing findings on the health technology innovation landscape, communicating key insights to the program team.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders in support of strategic goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data collection, analysis processes, and tools, and program insights, ensuring information provided is relevant and timely.
