Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our dynamic sleep medicine team. The RPSGT will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and providing essential support to patients undergoing sleep evaluations. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive polysomnographic studies on patients to assess sleep disorders.- Prepare and calibrate equipment and apply appropriate recording electrodes and sensors.- Monitor patients during the study, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.- Educate patients and their families about sleep disorders, testing procedures, and follow-up care.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of test results, patient interactions, and care plans.- Participate in ongoing education and training to keep up with advancements in sleep technology and industry standards.- Ensure compliance with established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Current RPSGT certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). (Experienced CPSGTs may be considered)- Proficient in sleep study technology and software.- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
