Busy Pain Management practice seeking a full-time Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist for the Maryland locations, Baltimore, Severna Park, Halethorpe and Timonium.
The ideal Medical Assistant candidate will be willing to commute to any of our office locations.
Medical Assistant's Responsibilities:
- Check-in/check-out duties
- Scheduling appointments
- Checking patient’s balances
- Collect laboratory specimens
- Dispose of contaminated supplies
- Sterilize medical instruments.
- Recording vital signs,
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients (injections)
- Preparing patients for examination
- Assisting the physician during the examination or procedures
- Preparing injection trays
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards
- Knowing and understanding medical procedures
- Checking weekly inventory of medical supplies.
- Scanning/ Copying/ Faxing documents
- Ensure the patients are treated courteously by office staff
Summary
As a Medical Assistant/Front Office professional, you will be integral to providing exceptional patient service and administrative support within a healthcare setting. Reporting to the office manager or healthcare provider, your core skills in medical terminology, EHR systems, and patient care will ensure efficient patient intake and management. Your premium expertise in dermatology and urgent care will enhance our ability to serve diverse patient needs. Additionally, your relevant experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations, will help maintain a compliant and supportive environment for all patients.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
