We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to support our Financial Management team
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, as well as government contract requirements such as the Service Contract Act (SCA) and Union.
- Manage time and attendance systems, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked by employees.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and benefits.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees and management.
- Coordinate with HR and accounting departments to ensure consistency and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Provide training to employees on payroll processes and timekeeping systems.
- An associates/bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience can sometimes substitute for education.
- Proficiency in UKG/Ultipro payroll software.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Costpoint 8 preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Ability to analyze payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
- Team player.
- Willing to learn.
- Able to cope with a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with all levels of the management team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
