The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules using Primavera P6. This role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking. The P6 Scheduler plays a crucial role in identifying potential risks, forecasting project timelines, and optimizing workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Project Scheduling & Management:
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to define project timelines, deliverables, and critical paths.
- Ensure schedules align with contract requirements, project scope, and company objectives.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly to reflect real-time performance.
Resource & Cost Loading:
- Integrate labor, materials, and equipment resources into schedules for effective planning.
- Track resource utilization and make recommendations for adjustments to avoid delays or overruns.
- Assist in cost forecasting and budget tracking related to schedule performance.
Risk Analysis & Mitigation:
- Identify scheduling risks and constraints that could impact project completion.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address delays, conflicts, or unforeseen project challenges.
- Conduct critical path analysis (CPA) and implement schedule optimization techniques.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on schedule performance, progress tracking, and variance analysis.
- Provide detailed schedule impact reports for change orders, delays, and scope adjustments.
- Present scheduling updates to project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:
- Act as the primary scheduling liaison between project teams, contractors, and clients.
- Conduct scheduling meetings and workshops to ensure all parties are aligned with project timelines.
- Assist in coordinating shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance activities in industrial environments.
