Title : Multi-Family Estimator

Reports To : Director of Multi-Family Sales
JOB SUMMARY
As an estimator you will read & decipher plans, prepare take-offs, confirm specifications and review multi-family projects with the sales team and Director of Multi-Family Sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.
Frequently required to sit, bend, reach, and type.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Occasionally required to lift and / or move objects up to 50 pounds.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide detailed material take-off and estimates based on architectural drawings, landscape drawings, interior drawings and specifications. Typical items include residential door hardware, commercial door hardware & accessories, bath accessories, fire extinguishers, mirrors, wire shelving, mailboxes, exterior doors, interior doors, and Hollow Metal Openings.
Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence and other project specific information in the sales folder.
Responsible for relaying sales strategies for alternate products to the sales team.
Review updated drawings, ASI's, and RFI's for changes.
Create project submittals.
Misc. duties as needed.
Millwork Material take-off's.
Assist with Pricing Millwork Projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to read and interpret Construction prints.
Must be proficient in excel.
Must adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines.
Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
Previous estimating / millwork experience preferred not required.
Background in Finish Carpentry and / or Hardware Installation a plus
