Position Summary
Advantage Benefits Group is the largest, independent, and locally owned employee benefits firm with locations in Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and the Detroit area. We have the privilege of serving some of the most prestigious employers in the state! The ideal candidate for the Account Coordinator position is someone who is eager to learn, detail oriented, is proficient in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Work/Outlook, and is a problem solver. This position is hybrid; 1 day work from home, 4 days in office. Working hours are 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday with 3 hours of flex time per week.
Essential Duties
· Act as an advisor to clients within assigned group to problem-solve claims issues
· Update information in various databases
· Maintain an organized filing system (paper and electronic)
· Assist with renewal process for all lines of coverage as needed
· Use of independent judgement to complete quote requests
· Implement, review and update policies and other documents to ensure accuracy
· Assist with new group/product line implementations
· Audit policies, enrollments and other documents
· Assist with creating, editing, reviewing employee/client facing presentations and materials
· Enter data into various carrier systems
· Strengthen and maintain carrier relationships through the marketing process and claims investigation
· Coordinate scheduling and event calendars between applicable parties as needed for education meetings, technology demos, etc.
· Answer incoming company calls
· Supporting clients by attending meetings, taking minutes, and following up on action items
Credentials/Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required, College degree preferred
· MI Life/Health & Accidental Producer License required to be obtained by the end of the first year of employment (company paid/sponsored)

· Temperature controlled pet friendly office environment with individual cubical-like workspaces; low noise level.
